EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Unlock healing and recovery through the power of EMDR therapy for trauma, PTSD, and beyond

EMDR is a powerful therapy, helping people recover from problems triggered by traumatic life experiences.

EMDR alleviates traumatic memories by helping the brain reprocess previously unresolved memories, flashbacks or images; making them less distressing whilst in a safe environment.

EMDR is recognised by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and World Health Organisation (WHO) as a treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

EMDR is also empirically validated for treating a range of other mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, phobias, road traffic accidents, witnessing or being a victim of a violent crime, abuse, bullying or the sudden loss of a loved one.

EMDR should always be delivered by a properly trained EMDR therapist.
